As an experienced criminal trial lawyer I understand that most people’s involvement with the justice system is infrequent and can be a nerve-wracking experience. It can be a very emotional time with numerous new concerns, whether it be in the criminal or civil justice stream. How will the outcome of the case affect you or your family? How does the system work? Where do you go from here? It can be a time when you lose sleep and go through emotional swings but it doesn’t have to be. By working with a knowledgeable lawyer who has your best interests in mind you can alleviate much of the stress related to your case.

During my years as a criminal trial lawyer I have successfully represented individuals charged with many different offences. From the most serious allegations of Murder to the most minor case of Mischief. Over the years I have been a presenter at a number of Continuing Education Programs for Criminal Lawyers as well as mentoring young criminal lawyers as they begin their legal careers.

While my practice is focused on providing defence representation I have been contracted in order to prosecute matters where Crown Counsel and the Attorney General are conflicted from acting (situations where charges have been laid against a crown counsel, police officer, or individual with a relationship with someone in the Office of the Attorney General).

During my years in the criminal justice system I have had benefit of representing individuals on a number of high-profile cases. These experiences have provided me with important media experience allowing me to represent my client's best interests not only in the courts but also in the public eye.

Through my years of practice I have developed experience and understanding in criminal law, which allows me to offer client focused solutions and strategies for my clients. While I represent clients throughout southern Ontario, my practice is centered in the Greater Toronto Area with the majority of my criminal matters being heard in the Halton, Peel, Toronto and Hamilton areas. This area incorporates the following municipalities; Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Mississauga, Brampton, Georgetown, Hamilton, Halton Hills, Acton, Waterdown, and Toronto. My practice covers all Criminal Code,  and Youth Criminal Justice Act Offences. As a result of my experience and education I have been  Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Criminal Law.
